Source integrity
Provenance, timestamps, authenticity checks and duplicate handling.
GOVERNANCE & ASSURANCE
Nonpartisan public communication, authority, evidence, privacy and device safety are part of the architecture, not an afterthought.
01 / THE CONTROL FRAMEWORK
These are proposed operating requirements, not existing certifications.
Provenance, timestamps, authenticity checks and duplicate handling.
Named approvers for sensitive releases and high-consequence actions.
Purpose limitation, role-based access and approved sharing.
Agreed schemas and validated integrations with existing workflows.
Enrollment, operating evidence, scope, override and exception handling.
Traceable approvals, delivery status, updates, recovery and after-action review.
02 / REVIEWER QUESTIONS
Open a question to see the proposal’s current boundary.
DAS is proposed as a trusted, nonpartisan public communication system for disease-related safety information. Public messaging should serve health and safety across communities, regardless of political affiliation. The proposed use policy excludes campaign promotion, political fundraising and partisan advocacy from alert content.
The AMBER Alert comparison concerns a public-safety purpose: timely, focused information that helps protect people. AMBER Alert helps find abducted children and has its own activation criteria. DAS is a separate disease-related proposal, not an AMBER Alert affiliate, government-endorsed service or currently authorized public-warning originator.
Trust is a design commitment to earn through source verification, designated approval, clear protective instructions, accessible communication, published correction procedures and auditable decisions. These controls require validation before operational use.
DOJ: About AMBER AlertThe supplied operational and agency briefs describe a concept for evaluation. This website represents no federal deployment, endorsement, award, live agency connection or proven operational outcome.
No. The proposal is a downstream coordination layer. Intelligence, clinical guidance, incident command and public-warning authorities retain their existing responsibilities.
The designated authorized originator under the relevant jurisdiction and warning program. DAS would support preparation and routing, not grant broadcast powers. A credible signal alone is insufficient authority for public release.
The graphics use WEAS inconsistently for “Worldwide Epidemic Alert System” and “Wireless Emergency Alerts System.” Neither is treated here as verified infrastructure. The established U.S. terms are WEA (Wireless Emergency Alerts), EAS (Emergency Alert System) and IPAWS (Integrated Public Alert and Warning System).
No. They are illustrative proposal labels for increasing internal attention. Any pilot must map hazard, certainty, severity and urgency to agency-specific criteria. They are not CDC HAN message categories or a universal federal scale.
Only enrolled, compatible equipment could be commanded, within owner permissions and validated protocols. Device identity, hazard suitability, command expiry, acknowledgment, human override and safe failure behavior must be established. Simultaneous dispatch does not guarantee successful or simultaneous activation.
The supplied files do not establish independently verified performance, safety, regulatory status or pathogen-specific efficacy. A pilot must collect and evaluate those records before real use. No health benefit is guaranteed here.
The recommended starting point uses synthetic, minimum-necessary incident metadata. Patient records, individual location traces and wearable data are outside the initial pilot. Any later use would require an established purpose, appropriate authority, agreements and a privacy/security review.
No such certification, authorization or assessed compliance is established by the supplied files. Procurement and security reviewers must define applicable requirements and verify evidence before handling regulated or government data.
Documented event schemas, APIs or message adapters, authentication, access rules, message versioning, geographic validation and test environments. CAP and FHIR may be relevant where supported; compatibility with any named system must be demonstrated.
The proposed design should support duplicate checks, expiry, revocation, message correction, retries, recipient acknowledgment, manual escalation and an auditable incident record. These are requirements to test, not implemented features of this presentation website.
The legacy website and several graphics describe DAS/DTS as patented, but no verifiable patent schedule was supplied. Patent numbers, owners, jurisdictions, legal status and claim coverage must be reviewed before a patent claim is used in procurement. “Global utility patent” is not a single worldwide patent grant.
No. The supplied seal is presented as a concept identity only. It does not indicate an established U.S. department, appointment, authority or government sponsorship.
No. All scenario events, timelines, message mockups and visual connections are illustrative. This website has no live surveillance feeds, public-warning connections or equipment controls.
Those outcomes have not been demonstrated. Faster handoffs, better readiness and reduced disruption are hypotheses for evaluation. The site avoids unsupported claims that disease will never cross a border or that a specific financial return is assured.
Through authorized channels, participating-jurisdiction agreements and applicable rules. International sharing is conditional; public health remains civilian-led. Military support would be limited to approved mission support, such as logistics or transport.
No. Use the contact form for public, unclassified business inquiries only. Do not submit medical records, patient information, controlled government information, operational vulnerabilities or other sensitive material.
04 / EVIDENCE STATUS
| Evidence category | Current position | Next review item |
|---|---|---|
| Concept of operations | Described in supplied PDFs and diagrams. | Agree on mission, roles and a bounded workflow. |
| Agency connections | Proposed; not established. | Obtain a sandbox partner and documented permissions. |
| Performance / savings | No independent measurements supplied. | Compare pilot metrics with an agreed baseline. |
| Intellectual property | Patent assertions appear in legacy material. | Request the full patent schedule and legal review. |
| Equipment effectiveness | No independent validation established. | Review safety, efficacy, compatibility and applicable regulatory evidence. |
| Security authorization | No assessed federal authorization established. | Define the data boundary and required security review. |
